Hi! My name is Sandra Carlson .I come from generations of German sewers and quilters. I love to make my own patterns and see the inquisitive looks of other parents when they see my designs. Being European, I love bold patterns and create unique designs . My darling Kim tells me every time I'm finish a dress or a jacket "Ma can you sew one more.." I want to thank my child for the challenges she gives me. She helps me pick out material and tells me exactly what she wants. We are FASHIONISTAS!

Quilting lables my way
Quilt labels my way!
I love making Quilts but if I'm done wrestling the monster through my sewing machine, I'm glad that the end is near. Than I have to figure out what I want to put on it, that takes me quiet a while. Now my passions are almost out of the window and I need to hand stitch the label, no I don't think so, write with a pencil on it, no I don't think so neater at least not my ding. That's why I tried this and I share it with you.
What you need for DIY Quilt label:
One piece of cotton fabric any size you want, I like mine a little bigger!
One piece of batting a little bit smaller as the cotton piece.
Washable markers, yep you read it right those for a buck and change from Wallyworld or a other store (I plan to write a post on that one)
Your sewing machine and set up for free motion quilting
And basting spray
I baste the batting to my fabric piece as you see.
Than you write your quote or what ever you feel like on your fabric piece.
All what you need to do is following the drawing on your piece.
After I was done with sew it on the quilt and a good soak in the tub.
A little glums on Kimmy's Quilt.

That's how I came across painting on canvas shoes. I had somewhere abandoned in the corner under all kind off stuff ones, and I thought it is worth a shot to try it out.
It is been a while since I painted something, but all in all I like it....

Wearable monsters!
My friend Alissa came up to me yesterday, and asked me if I can make a bow tie for her nephew.
Sure Mr. Pinterest always have an answer for my questions and a DIY.
Well, I make it short.. The alien monster fabric was the it fabric for this little mans taste and after all mine to... If I could get away with it I would rock it to....
Update on my post today.
Aiden screamed lol, that was the message what Alissa send me.
