Hello Kitty Cat

For a couple month ago Cindy's Mum gave us a couple bunch a stuff, curtains bed spreads ....... I'm a big fan from hand down stuff because I always find something to do with it.

It was sitting in my office for a quiet while. But now, my Pauli is coming home from his oversee tour and guess what I have to finish all my project asap. He will tell me something, if he sees my chaos room.

Anyway, she gave me this shower curtain with this very busy kitty pattern, not my style lady's, so I decided to sew my first quilt for my little angel.

I'll cut 64 cats and 64 pink squares, sew everything together. The inside, you cant see, is one of my old blankets and the baking is a fleece blanked.
I'll found the golden button's in a thrift store, you never ever can have enough button's anyway.

All in all the most costly on this project was 2 yards wonder under and I love it.

I iron it on the cat pull the paper off and iron it on the square, everything stays in place, sew around the cat bum bang done.

Cost all in all around 10$ not bad for an old shower curtain, blankets and a couple button's.

for my princes

My daughter Kim is getting 2 in a couple days but that doesn't stop her from fighting with me over my make up mirror. Finlay I had enough and Cindy's mum donated an old little vintage mirror for Kim.
I didn't liked the colors, what a easy fix.

A little bit of acrylic color and now that is the master piece .

It hangs now on Kimmy's wall and she love to see her face in it plus it keeps her busy at least for a couple min per day.

"This old man"

I found "This old Man" (its an old wing back chair from 1926) in an old basement from an old lady.

It had an hole cat on the pillow, at least it seems like that, in a wicket green hunter green and smelt bad.
But was in love with the shape of it and antique one more thing what I share with my mum the love for antiques (my dad words what you doing with this old crab).
Ether way I thought I could upholster it on my own.

After I researched online how to do, I'll started to run in the next couple stores and bought everything. What I couldn't believe the other blogger that it was a ruff job.

Guys it is not a lie.
I was about to throw it over my porch I was so mad because it took me quiet long and at the end he was resting in my office for like 3month
(plus I had to finish it, if hubby is coming home from oversees he wanna see it, because stupid me I told him about the old man).
Now I'm almost finish and I love it. It's not perfect but for me it is.

  I love my "old Man"

I'm back

Well, seems like a long time ago that I  was on her. I had a lot going on and some nice projects to finish and still some to go...

I'll start with my not jet finish blanket. It was on my last a post

Out of T-shirts

Out of T- shirts

My next tutorial is a rug out of old T-shirts. It was a long battle till I finished it up. At the end I start to dislike it, because it was not done quick enough. Sometimes I'm not very patient in my craft and a lot of my stuff goes into the trash it makes me just mad. I know not the smartest move but at this moment I cant just stop my temper. I wish you good luck with this one and a lot of fun.

You need:

A stash of T-shirt yarn
crochet hook
a sewing needle
fishing line
and a scissor

you chain between 35 and 65 it depends how big you wanna have your flower. I had different sizes.

the next row is just out of single crochet stitches

next row is 1 sc in next stitch, 2 sc in next st,2 dc in next st 2 tr in next stitch, 2 dc in next st,2 sc in next st, rep after 2 sc

at the end wave the ends in

Begin from one side and start to sew the flower together like a spiral

at the end you sew all flowers together,

yes you need a lot flowers but it looks great in kimmy's room

How to cut a bottle, don't do it like i did

How to cut a bottle

Well, that is my first time to blog something. I'm not a pro in that kinda stuff so excuse me.
I was searching the web for new ideas and I'll come across this interesting tutorial for a couple days ago. Today was the day to try it.

All what you need is a cotton string, nail polish and of course a bottle.
Mine was a leftover from my brother in laws visit as we cooked gluhwein in march.

Of course I didn't had a cotton string so I'll graped my sewing stuff and tried it with this one. First the string wouldn't burn so I soaked it wicked good. Bad idea I almost burned my kitchen down but the bottle was OK.

After I recovered from this experiment (and I didn't looked like Casper anymore) I'll tryed it with a yarn string from my stash.
Like the girl in the video, put the string 7 times around the bottle soaked it good (probably to good, because my bottle was on fire) in nail polish lid it on fire and put it in a sink with cold water.

I love my new cut bottle, but the thing is, if you got the idea to do stuff like that your kids need to be in bed your partner or husband he need to be out of the house, he probably will freak out and start to scream like a sissi if he sees a burning bottle in your hand.
